The UK based phone retailer Carphone Warehouse says that pre registration demand for Samsung's forthcoming S5 smartphone is substantially higher than last year's release of the S4.
The company said that over the past four days since it started taking pre-orders, interest is 130% higher than it was after 10 days for the Galaxy S4 smartphone last year.
"If these early pre-registration figures are anything to go by then customer interest is extremely high. Samsung has clearly built up a very loyal fanbase and the Galaxy S5 looks set to become one of the biggest selling handsets ever," said Carl Cowling, MD at Carphone Warehouse.
The UK phone retailer will be one of the first in the country to offer the phone, when it goes on sale on the 11th April.
