Staff at the UK mobile network operator O2 are being asked to vote in favour of a pay deal that will see them receive a pay rise of 2.6 percent.
The pay deal was negotiated by the Communication Workers Union.
In a message to branches, the union's national officer Sally Bridge explains that the agreement has been reached and represented the firm's "final and definitive offer".
The 2014 pay discussions "have been difficult," Sally continues, and adds that, the 2.6 percent increase was fully consolidated and ahead of current pay settlements.
As well as increasing basic pay, the agreement also provides for pay progression payments for Tech Spec/T&E and Business Support grades based on 2012 APR rating.
In the view of the CWU national pay negotiating team, "this is the best offer that can be negotiated and we are therefore recommending acceptance," said Sally.
