Vodafone UK is reported to have secured an exclusive deal to sell a gold coloured version of the forthcoming Samsung S5 smartphone.
The smartphone is being offered in a range of colours when it goes on sale on the 11th April, but only Vodafone will have the gold version, according to Cnet.
However, the exclusivity period lasts just a month, after which other networks will also be able to sell the handset.
Pricing is still to be announced.
The move towards offering gold-coloured phones is a growing trend, partly inspired by the market for real gold plated handsets in some countries. The gold effect used here is however just a tinted metal.
