T-Mobile USA Backtracks Following BlackBerry Complaints

USA T Mobile has offered an olive branch of peace to agreeived BlackBerry users who were annoyed when the mobile network tried to lure them to swapping over to an Apple iPhone
T-Mobile USA had generated a significant amount of ire from BlackBerry fans, and then from BlackBerry's CEO when it sent out an email targeting BlackBerry users with a free iPhone.
Now, T-Mobile USA is to offer existing BlackBerry users a US4200 credit towards the cost of buying a new BlackBerry phone, so long as they trade in their old handset as well.
In addition, for those existing T-Mobile BlackBerry customers trading-in and choosing a new BlackBerry Q10 or Z10, they're offering an additional $50 off the purchase price of that new BlackBerry
In a blog post, T-Mobile's Chief Marketing Officer, Mike Sievert said: "I love all the passion I've seen pouring in from the BlackBerry loyal these past several days. Thanks for the Tweets. We hear you."
He did however criticise BlackBerry CEO's John Chen for complaining that the handset manufacturer had not been warned about the iPhone deal in advance, claiming that it was a call to restrict customer choice.
"We simply have a different point of view on the matter of choice than the one expressed yesterday by Mr. Chen." he added.
The trade in offer starts this Friday.
